Confidence through competence
This is a course for those who wish to obtain a concealed handgun permit from the State of Alaska. Permits can offer NICS exemption, are currently reciprocal with 39 states, and are valid for ~5 years.
Day 1: students will be introduced to the basic knowledge, skills, and mindset essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self defense.
Day 2: students will be introduced to basic marksmanship skills with the defensive handgun of their choice. Students will practice physical handling, mechanics, carrying, transporting, storage, loading and unloading of handguns, including a live fire test of competence with a handgun.
