Youth Only Basic Bolt Rifle – OPEN

$150.00This course is offered exclusively to youth age 12-18 with training principles and techniques specific to that age group. Getting ready for a hunt? Learning safety? Honing existing or picking up a new skill? This class is for you!
– Sight in / Scope adjustment
– Building a shooter’s platform / Basic accuracy
– Basics of benchrest shooting 25-100 yards
– Recoil mitigation
– Rifle familiarity – malfunctions, efficient reload
– Positional shooting
Total Course Length: 4 hours
Required Equipment/Gear:
Some of these items are available to rent/borrow; see below.
– Bolt action rifle and all available magazines if applicable
– Scoped optic, or open sights
– 40-60 rounds of ammo
Provided:
– Eye and ear protection
– Shooting mats, rifle rests and sand bags
– Sight in / maintenance tools
– Targets and backers, steel targets
– Observation / spotting scopes
– Instruction / backup rifles
Available: (may incur an additional cost):
– Ammo – prices vary, most often charged by the rounds fired. Email for price info
– Rental firearms – Bolt Rifle ($25)
Rental Package Includes: firearm, scoped optic, bipod, shooting mat, and ammo – billed in addition to course cost per rounds fired.
