Basic Handgun 101
(Also available as Ladies Only)
This foundational training will cover safety absolutes, parts, pieces, function, and platform. Then we’ll lead into basic accuracy and target acquisition, ending with several engaging speed drills and familiarity exercises. Each student must shoot a qualification target for course completion. This is a fast paced, enjoyable way to learn handgun safety. Previous handgun experience not required.
Basic Handgun 101 — EXPANDED VERSION!
This is the same low pressure, high energy training curriculum, with an expanded attention to detail targeting newer shooters, first time buyers, and those especially interested in home and personal defense. Training will cover safety absolutes, parts, pieces, function, platform, and state gun law during an evening session, allowing you to handle different types of handgun styles and calibers. Previous handgun experience beneficial, but not required.
Intermediate Handgun 201
Designed for the more experienced handgun shooter, this course is designed to take you outside your comfort zone, adding in factors of real life, less than ideal shooting positions, pressure training, fast acquisition, and multiple target engagement. We teach you a safe and efficient presentation from a holster, and cover how to practice a practical, everyday defensive mindset that will make you a more alert, better prepared defender of yourself and those you love.
Advanced Handgun 301
Presentations, malfunctions, shooting on the move, engaging multiple targets, and real life defensive scenarios will keep you engaged as we introduce new concepts and challenge existing skills. We add more pressure to this course encouraging higher levels of performance, but giving you the correct tools to reach those levels. Through this course we offer time proven methods, passing on the heritage of effective defense as we help you find confidence in competence.
Just For Kids!
A two-part course designed to introduce young shooters to firearm safety and handling. Laying a strong foundation of respect, safety absolutes, and proper technique now, ensures a lifetime of competence. Accurate Advantage seeks to remove the destructive potential of “the curiosity factor” giving children a functional knowledge of the powerful potential and proper use of a firearm.
